Rosita:Rosita wandered into the San Juan de Sarchí High School - about an hour outside of San Jose, Costa Rica - lost, hungry and looking for a kind soul to help her. Kids swarmed around her and pled her case to teachers and parents. A local mechanic, Alonso Castro, scooped her up and contacted McKee: soon Rosita was fed, spayed, loved and had a home and a family. |

Dino:Dino was abandoned on the side of the road inches from oncoming traffic. Carla of McKee happened to be driving by and saw the young pup cowering in a corner. It took a lot of patience, veterinary support and love, but Carla was finally able to place Dino in a loving home in Heredia, Costa Rica. Kayla was left chained to the gate of the McKee home office in Alajuela, Costa Rica. When approached, we realized that Kayla was friendly and playful. After settling her in with a clean, warm bed, and a bowl of food, phone calls were made to arrange for spaying & placing Kayla in the loving home that she deserves. |

Rosebud:Rosebud was discovered in an abandoned house near Playa Zancudo, in Costa Rica’s most southern province where there is limited veterinary support, and most community work is done by dedicated volunteers. Hungry and in bad shape, Rosebud needs a lot of attention and care. It is going to be a long road to recovery for this sweet little girl, but her future looks a lot brighter now! |

Kayla:Kayla was found chained to the gate of Carla's home in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Immediately friendly and very loving, Kayla seemed the perfect candidate as a family pet. After settling her in with a clean bed and plenty of food, phone calls were made to arrange for spaying and placing her. She is now a very happy camper in her new home!
